Today’s Random Acts of Kindness blog is dedicated to the wonderful people who came out and showed their TMSM support last night at our first mini-meet up for the site. Since we started The Main Street Mouse four years ago, it’s always been a hope of mine to some day be able to meet some of the people who stand behind what we do and help make TMSM a happy place. Last night, that dream became a reality when so many Main Streeters came out to meet us at Epcot. We did the meet up as a last minute thing, and I was amazed at how many people were able to make it. It was a perfect time too, because one of our Admins, Autumn, was in town as well, and we figured we’d put something together and see what would happen. I’m so happy and excited with the results.
When we arrived at Epcot, the plan was to meet a few people at the Electric Umbrella to eat, then head over to World Showcase to meet the rest of the group. We found more Main Streeters at the Electric Umbrella then we expected, which was great, and our dinner group got bigger. Before I knew it, it was time to head over to World Showcase. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, would there be more people there? To my surprise, there were actually a LOT of Main Streeters there waiting for us. Looking around, seeing the large group of people who showed up was completely unexpected and overwhelming. I was so grateful for the amazing people who took time out of their schedules to meet up with us. We did our best to get everyone in for a group photo, which our CM friend Chuck so graciously took for us. Even after the pictures, more Main Streeters arrived. Just unbelievable, my heart was full!
So there we were, lots of Main Streeters all in one place…… so, now what? We decided to take the group for a walk around World Showcase. Some people wanted to get a drink, some wanted food, and others were looking for a nice spot that we could all fit in to watch Illuminations together. We ended up in the back of the park and continued the TMSM party before the fireworks. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, and I was as well. What an amazing feeling, to look around and see all of these people come together for the love of TMSM and Disney. I was still in disbelief. Everyone got their food and drinks, Illuminations was beautiful as usual, and when it was over, people still hung around to chat and have fun.
The park was closed, but we didn’t get to the car until almost 11:00. All in all, the evening was a complete success. It was a huge act of kindness in my eyes, that our members felt compelled to come and join us for the evening. I can’t thank you all enough for being there and supporting our Disney dreams at TMSM. I’m humbled, honored and grateful. So what’s next? More mini-meet ups and a larger one coming soon! Looks like I have more work to do to accommodate our Main Streeters and I couldn’t be happier about that. Thank you all so much for your support and kindness, it’s a blessing! Till next week, be kind to each other and share that Disney magic, you’ll be so glad that you did! Hugs! ~M

Michele – I hope you remember that it was all started with a mouse. Wait, that’s not what I was going to say – remember that without YOU, all these amazing people would NEVER had met! Thank you so much for initially sharing your Disney love and giving us a forum to do the same!!
Love it. Can hardly wait to attend one.
