After a long hiatus and a relocation, the fan favorite show, Festival of the Lion King, returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom today! Festival of the Lion King was shut down while the new theater was built. The old theater where the performances were was closed in Camp Minnie Mickey to make way for the new Avatar Land that’s being built.
Festival of the Lion King is now showing in the new Harambe Theater, which was built specifically for the magical production. The Harambe Theatre is located along the waterfront in Africa, to the west of Tusker House Restaurant and the Dawa Bar. The show is still the same, just the location has changed. This mornings first performance was full of energy and received a standing ovation. I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly glad that Festival of the Lion King is back! It’s my favorite show at Walt Disney World!
