The time for the opening of the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is getting closer and closer! Although we don’t have an opening day for the public yet, we do have info on the Media events that are coming. Certain media outlets will be visiting the Magic Kingdom Park on May 1 and 2, 2014 to learn more about what’s happening at the Walt Disney World Resort, including MyMagic+ and new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Due to their visit, some attractions and areas will either close early or have a delayed opening. If you are visiting the MK on those dates, here is some updated information that you may need to know:
Thursday, May 1
Select areas in New Fantasyland will be closing early, as we prepare to host media for a private party that evening.
The following locations will close at 5 p.m. to Park Guests:
Gaston’s Tavern
Bonjour! Village Gifts
Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid
Ariel’s Grotto
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Hundred Acre Goods
Storybook Treats.
Through-traffic from between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland will be re-routed due to the modified operating hours mentioned above, and Guests will be directed to one of the side ramps next to Cinderella Castle to move between the lands.
Friday, May 2
There will be a delayed opening of Storybook Circus and parts of Tomorrowland.

Pete’s Silly Sideshow
Big Top Souvenirs
Tomorrowland Speedway
Opening at 12:15 p.m.:
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
