The Fun Return of ‘Main Street Electrical Parade’ to Magic Kingdom Park in 1999

Jennifer Fickley-Baker, Social Media Manager Disney, put out this blog and video and I just had to share it.  If you are a fan of the Main Street Electrical Parade, this video is a must see.

In May 1999, a few weeks before “Main Street Electrical Parade” made its return to Magic Kingdom Park, the parade floats were taken out of the park for a rare overnight road test. See this amazing sight below.

Can you imagine driving down the road and looking over and seeing one of the parade floats going by?  What a thrill that would be to see.

  1. Growing up, my mom had one of the CDs of park music, and of course, the music from the Main Street Electrical Parade is on there. I listened for hours on end! Love this.

  2. I would have LOST IT if I was there to witness that! It is my ALL TIME favourite parade. I always get teary just hearing the music. Thanks for posting this!

    1. I completely agree. I thought about just driving down the road and seeing the floats all lit up. That is truly a once in a lifetime experience to see something like that. It’s also my all time favorite parade.
