As we previously reported, Disney’s Animal Kingdom was offering FastPass+ to all guests, including offsite visitors. The word is, beginning next week, the Magic Kingdom will follow suit on January 14, 2013. Legacy FASTPASS will be discontinued, and guests who are staying offsite will be able to make FastPass+ reservations, same day only, for the Magic Kingdom by using in park kiosks. FastPass+ reservations and changes, will only be able to be done at an in-park kiosk and not using the My Disney Experience apps.
Guests who are staying at a WDW Resort will continue to be able to use the My Disney Experience to book FastPass+ selections ahead of time at all four parks. Offsite guests will be able to use legacy FASTPASS at Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and same-day FastPass+ at the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
So starting next week, the old FastPass system will no longer be available at neither the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. I assume that the other two parks will be following the trend in the very near future. What do you think of the changes? Let us know in our comment section or on our FB page. We will continue to update you on the new FastPass+ changes as we hear of them!
