Construction information for Downtown Disney

As most of you know, there is a lot of construction going on in the Downtown Disney area at Walt Disney World.  We are doing our best at keeping you updated, so that there are no surprises if you plan to visit there.  In sharing this information, it may also make it easier for everyone involved to get around the construction areas in a better way.  One of our Cast Member friends asked us to share this update, for everyone’s convenience this weekend.

Beginning this Friday and going through Sunday midday, The Marketplace entrance both east and westbound Buena Vista Drive to Downtown Disney will be completely barricaded off. No admittance to vehicles at all. The west bound right lane in front of Marketplace will also be barricaded in order to provide a bus only lane. This lane will start forming on south bound Buena Vista drive in front of the auxiliary entrance to and end just past the Marketplace entrance. Guests are urged not to cross into this lane at any time. Evening and afternoon guests using their own transportation are strongly urged to park at either the Cast Service building or preferably at Team Disney across from the Westside entrance where free non-Disney bus service will be provided. The goal of this cut off lane is to help our buses get from the Marketplace stop to the Pleasure Island stop a tad more quickly without, hopefully, being cut off. The free parking at Team Disney will be on going as long as construction on the first parking garage will be taking place.

Hopefully you find this information to be useful.  We will bring you more updates as we receive them!
