Johnny Depp has been making the rounds, promoting his upcoming film “The Lone Ranger” which hits theaters July 3rd. During a recent interview, he explained why when he travels, he always takes his Captain Jack Sparrow costume with him.
“Sometimes you go to kiddie hospitals and things like that,” the actor explained. “I’ll just sneak in and go and surprise a bunch of kiddies through the different wards…It basically turns into a two-, three-hour improvisation and it’s really fun. So I travel with Captain Jack.” How awesome is that?? What a guy!
Johnny Depp said he doesn’t expect to be traveling with his “Tonto” costume though, just Jack. He does however have the bird that Tonto wears on his head at his home in Los Angeles. During the same press event, Jerry Bruckheimer was asked about the latest installment of the “Pirates” series. “They (the new directors) are in full form preparing the picture,” said Bruckheimer, who also produced The Lone Ranger. “We hope to start at the end of the year, the beginning of next year.” Excellent news!! We can’t wait to learn more about “Pirates 5!”
