There will be lots of activities taking place over the Independence celebration time at Walt Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
Beginning on July 1st, there will be 7 straight days of perimeter fireworks. Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, will be shown nightly. The show will take place at 9 p.m. on July 3 and 4, and 10 p.m. on July 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7. The dazzling display at Magic Kingdom Park will be orchestrated to an upbeat musical tribute to America as patriotic lighting covers the Castle. The majority of the shows will feature a 180 degree perimeter fireworks show, but on the 3rd and 4th the show will feature a full 360 degree fireworks show and also the Seven Seas Lagoon Island mirror location.
In addition to the fireworks show, there will also be a fun-filled spectacle featuring Goofy, Donald, Pluto dressed as a colonial fife and drum corps, in a spirited procession down Main Street, U.S.A, prior to the daily Celebrate a Dream Come True parade. The trio will be joined by The Main Street Philharmonic, the Citizens of Main Street and Walt Disney’s historic horse-drawn calliope. There will also be special patriotic themed merchandise and treats throughout the kingdom, so keep your eyes opened.
Epcot
On July 4th guests will be able to do Meet and Greets with the Disney characters in their patriotic clothing. The times for this are 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Patriotic Meet and Greets will be outside near Kidcot.
Beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the America Gardens Theatre the Voices of Liberty Fourth of July concert will take place. Other showtimes are 1:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. In addition to the outside show there will be 2 sets done inside the American Adventure Rotunda at 4:15 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The show will be comprised of the eight-part, a cappella Voices of Liberty, Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps and Disney characters.
On the 4th of July there will be special showtimes for the Sounds Like Summer concert series, featuring Slippery When Wet (The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute). The showtimes for the 4th are 5:15 p.m. , 6:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The Heartbeat of Freedom Fireworks Show, a special tribute following IllumiNations will begin at 10 p.m. to light up the sky.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At the Studios on July 4th, there will be a all-new “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration fireworks spectacular to celebrate Independence day.
The celebration will begin at the Sorcerer Hat with a DJ at 6:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. the park band Mulch, Sweat & Shears will entertain guests and take them on a musical journey through America. All these festivities will be followed by a special rock ‘n roll fireworks presentation that will begin at 10:15 p.m.
