The temperatures are certainly starting to warm up in Central Florida so it’s about that time of year that we start heading to the water parks in Orlando. Although the water parks are open all year long, I personally need it to be at least 80 degrees or higher to venture out into the water. This year my family upgraded our annual passes to include the water parks and we are excited to hit the water.
My kids are so excited to go to Blizzard Beach this year. My youngest son has not gone since he was a baby so he’s super excited to hit the big slides. In case you’ve never been to Blizzard Beach or can’t decide if it’s a right fit for your family, I wanted to share what kind of fun slides they have.
First up is Summit Plummet. This is the centerpiece of Blizzard Beach and you can’t miss it when you walk into the park. According to the Disney website, you will plunge 12 stories almost straight down through a dark tunnel. I’ve never been on this one, but my older kids and husband have and they love it.
Runoff Rapids is more my speed. There are 3 different inner-tube water slides to choose from. One of them is fully enclosed and all of them are lots of fun.
Next up is the Toboggan Racers. This one you get to race other family members and guests down a 250-foot-long slide on a toboggan-style mat.
If you love racing on the Toboggan Racers then you and your family are sure to enjoy Snow Stormers as well. There are 3 slides to choose from and it’s 350 feet of laughter and fun.
When it’s time to slow down and relax, hop on an inner-tube and head down Cross Country Creek for a lazy ride around Blizzard Beach.
There is a great water area for the little ones too. Tike’s Peak has scaled down water fun for your little ones.
These are just a few of the fun things to do at Blizzard Beach. There is so much to do for everyone in the family. So what are you waiting for, lets get splashing!
